The team consists of individuals who have worked in the community for many years in the capacity of providing direct services or interrelated services; also, there are team members that have family members diagnosed as intellectual and developmentally challenged. As a result, this population has a special place in our “hearts”. We come to this community with credentials based on formal training, as well as, the personal experience of loving and providing for a family member (s) classified as IDD.
Mission / Vision The Eckington House is dedicated to meeting the needs of individuals by providing a rehabilitative environment that will promote growth and development with the best opportunity for normalization in the least restrictive environment. Moreover, individuals will be provided an opportunity for integrated community-based living, learning centers and work sites that meet their individual needs. The Eckington House will provide individuals with a positive and supportive environment that nurtures and integrates their living, working and learning opportunities in the community. Moreover, the Eckington House aims at assisting individuals to achieve their greatest potential through the provision of comprehensive services and supports that are customized for the individual to foster a more inclusive community involvement.

We believe that we have an obligation to provide an environment that promotes independence and opportunities for individuals to achieve their full range of skills, rights and personal success.
